The Benefit of After-School and Summer Learning Programs

 

Just six years ago, a student we’re calling David was non-verbal, diagnosed as being on the autism spectrum and isolated at school. Now he’s a quiet yet friendly 14-year-old heading to one of Baltimore’s competitive high schools this fall. The difference? David says it’s the after-school and summer learning programs he began attending in the 5th grade.
