Elev8 Baltimore 2025 Impact Report

Elev8 Baltimore’s 2025 Impact Report, THE FUTURE OF US, reflects what your investment makes possible during a moment of real strain on youth‑serving systems. As after‑school programs and family supports continue to disappear nationwide, Elev8 chose consistency over contraction—showing up daily for students, families, and schools across Baltimore. This report highlights disciplined growth, strong summer attendance, expanded extended learning, family stability supports, mentoring, and adult education pathways, all grounded in careful stewardship of public and private dollars. It tells a story of trust: trust built with communities, honored through transparency, and sustained through donors who believe that young people should not be left to improvise alone when systems pull back.

The Future Of Us - Movie

The Future of Us

Official Selection — Maryland Film Festival 2025

The Future of Us is a student‑led short film by Elev8 Baltimore that was officially selected for the 2025 Maryland Film Festival, screening at Baltimore’s historic SNF Parkway Theatre as part of the festival’s All Ages Shorts Program. Told through humor, honesty, and a mockumentary style inspired by shows like The Office and Abbott Elementary, the film imagines a world where students step in to run an organization after the adults and systems they once relied on have disappeared. What unfolds is playful, sharp, and uncomfortably familiar. Young people improvise, lead meetings, solve problems, and adapt—not because they were asked to, but because no one else is there. The Future of Us celebrates youth creativity and resilience while quietly challenging viewers to consider what it means when support systems recede and responsibility shifts to the very people those systems were meant to protect. Its selection into the Maryland Film Festival recognizes the film’s powerful storytelling, youth leadership, and timely relevance within Baltimore’s arts and cultural landscape.

Community Schools: A Model for the Middle Grades

An Education Week commentary praises Elev8, community schools model. Expanding the number of community schools is no longer a goal that can be left on the periphery of school reform.
