South Baltimore Adult High School:

A Fresh Start Toward a Brighter Future

The new South Baltimore Adult High School (SBAHS) in Cherry Hill gives adults 21 and over a fresh opportunity to finish high school. Our students have many responsibilities – from holding down a job to being a parent. Time is precious, so we have developed a flexible approach to meet our students where they are:

Classes are in-person or online
Students move at their own pace through classwork
Students can begin studying at SBAHS whenever they are ready – at different points in the school year

How We Support Students

We provide hands-on support to make sure our students succeed. Services include:

Child care
Mental health support
Assistance finding a job
Transportation
Housing
Crisis interventions
Referrals to help cover household expenses and outstanding bills

High School Diploma, Certifications, Associate’s Degree

Baltimore City Community College has established a full academic program for SBAHS students to complete their high school diploma. BCCC’s team of respected instructors and workforce trainers provide high-quality instruction.

Along with academics, SBAHS students can take part in hands-on training leading to certification in 17 fields that earn family sustaining wages – from warehousing and logistics to private security and community health care.
We offer instruction leading to an Associate’s degree – a key steppingstone to better jobs or a 4-year degree.
