Experiencing Elev8 Baltimore

Elev8 Baltimore held its first “friendraising” activity in October, hosting a festive and informative event at Humanim at The American Brewery.
The event, dubbed “Experience Elev8 Baltimore” attracted nearly 100 guests, who had been brought together to hear and learn more about the initiative, its goals and the people affected by what we do every day.
Over hors d’oeuvres, wine and soft drinks, representatives of organizations, agencies, school sites and programs, milled about the beautifully-renovated 5th-floor of Humanim’s red-brick building. (See photos below)
These friends of Elev8 Baltimore – new and old – were greeted by Elev8 Baltimore staff and mingled with students and parents.
They were also treated to a new video about our initiative, also titled “Experience Elev8 Baltimore,” which featured students, parents and partners, all discussing their views about what we do and how it has affected them.

“The night was a big success,” says Elev8 Baltimore director, Nicole A. Johnson. “I have received positive comments from everyone who attended, and requests to bring folks together more often.”
